About Us
Our Story
Herb’N Village is about using life to heal. It is a Co-Op between people and nature. We use herbalism to provide a more long-term rather than acute effect on the body. Our packaging is eco-friendly, designed to be reused, recycled, and biodegradable. We also take pride in supporting non-profit, One Tree Planted.

My Story
Born in Northern California but herbalism stems from my mother's small village in Michoacán Mexico. At age five I was flown to UC Davis Children's hospital in a helicopter after being told I wouldn't make it through the night. I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. My childhood consisted of hospital beds, kids asking me if I was an alien, and oxygen tanks.
My mother wasn't convinced about the diagnosis. She substituted the enzymes and other medications they were prescribing with mullein (or as it translates in Spanish, fat wolf ), arnica, and other herbs. Even though I wasn't showing the symptoms for Cystic Fibrosis, the doctors and specialists said I wouldn't make it past the age of 15. All I could do was take it one day at a time. We picked up more books on herbs and continued to make teas.
Through all the stress and sickness I was granted a wish thanks to some amazing people that referred my case to the Make@Wish Foundation. My family and I were flown to London for a week to meet the cast of Harry Potter. When I turned 15 I remembered letting out a deep breath, by then I had played the flute and joined the tennis team. Anything to strengthen my lungs. California Children's Services stepped in and finally said that if I was not showing signs of Cystic Fibrosis they needed to stop the checkups. I was finally free. They decided to leave the diagnosis at "Hispanic" Cystic Fibrosis.
From then on I continued my herbal studies on my own and have taken courses, trying to strengthen my immune system and trying to help others through herbal medicine. I graduated from the University of California Davis with a degree in Cinema and Digital Media. I moved to Los Angeles and was in the industry for about four years. After realizing Hollywood had a dark side, I didn't let that bring me down. I took it as an experience and had to ask myself what I really wanted to do in this short period on earth we call life. I’ve always wanted to help people in some form. Herbalism remained a hobby that I enjoyed. My hobby turned into passion.
